- Alex Trebek, 78, posted a video message on Wednesday announcing he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
- Trebek has hosted the popular game show Jeopardy since 1984.
- Despite the prognosis, Trebek vows to fight it and beat it with the help of everyone’s prayers.
Known for his straight-faced, witty banter with Jeopardy contestants,
Alex Trebek announced yesterday he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer – and
kept his sense of humor while vowing to survive.
“Truth told, I have to!” Trebek said in the video message to fans. “Because under the terms of my contract, I have to host ‘Jeopardy!’ for three more years! So help me. Keep the faith and we’ll win.”
A lot of people would struggle with such news. All of a sudden, they would find themselves thinking about things they’ve never thought of before, such as critical illness insurance rates and other ways they can protect their family and their lifestyle. No doubt it is something weighing on Trebek, but at the same time, it is admirable to see his sense of humor about the condition. Hopefully he will be able to access all the best treatment, and supplement it with items like Blessed CBD oil (or similar products) that can help alleviate the discomfort cancer treatment can bring.
Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak and many others sent messages of support to Trebek online.
Videos of infamous Trebek moments also made their way around the internet.
Everyone at Culttture is wishing him the best and sending him prayers for recovery.
