On December 11, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe went head to head with Tech Freedom president Berin Szoka, in a debate over Big Tech and the future of political speech online. They were joined by lawyers Harmeet K. Dhillon and Mike Godwin.
On the day of the debate, Szoka tweeted “Doing a debate tonight on the Trumpist conspiracy theory that Big Tech is out to get ‘conservatives.’”
O’Keefe fired back, “It’s not a conspiracy theory when you can see their lips moving,” and added during the debate, “We don’t report anything unless you can see their lips moving.”
Szoka accused O’Keefe of making, “a business out of lying.” O’Keefe answered that he has won seven straight defamation lawsuits, and further laid down the gauntlet to Szoka, offering a challenge for charity.
“I will personally donate $10,000 to a charity of your choice if you can name one thing since Project Veritas was incorporated in April 2011, that we have lied about,” said O’Keefe.
O’Keefe has been winning unofficial debates as well, raining down fire on former comedian and known cocaine user Tom Arnold, famed for once being married to popular TV star Roseanne Barr.
O’Keefe’s exposure of the corporate media and it’s employees has increasingly become part of popular culture. Rapper Lil Trump‘s homage to O’Keefe has been seen nearly 200,000 times.
O’Keefe recently announced he is joining forces with PragerU, with new videos yet to come in 2020.
