- The brothers also claim Smollett did the hoax in an elaborate scheme to increase his pay as an actor on Empire.
Jussie Smollett was originally charged with 16 felonies after an investigation showed that he had fabricated the attack and hired the Osundairo Brothers to beat him up in what was supposed to appear to be a racist and homophobic attack perpetrated by Trump supporters.
The unexpected announcement that charges would not be pursued shocked Chicagoans on both sides of the aisle– even Mayor Rahm Emanuel claimed the decision was an abomination of justice.
Today the brothers Smollett allegedly hired to act out the hate crime hoax are now suing Smollett’s lawyers claiming Smollett directed every aspect of the attack.
The brothers are claiming their lives have been ruined by what Smollett’s lawyers have said about them after all charges were dismissed and even possibly endangered their lives in their homeland in Nigeria where homosexuals are routinely stoned to death.
Tim Pool (@TimCast), a journalist and Youtube news analyst did a video explaining the federal lawsuit the brothers filed and what it means for Smollett.
