Jack Dorsey and Bill Pulte Teamed Up To Renovate St. Louis

Bill Pulte and Jack Dorsey co-founded the St. Louis Blight Authority to help renovate the city and bring new hope to the people.

The progenitor of #TwitterPhilanthropy Bill Pulte and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey co-founded the St. Louis Blight Authority and held a press briefing stating the organization’s goals to help northern St. Louis.

The St. Louis Blight Authority aims to work with Steve Conway, Chief of Staff for Mayor Lyda Krewson. Conway announced that with the help of the Pulte’s and Dorsey’s Blight Authority, the city could demolish 700 decaying and dangerous buildings this year.

Jack Dorsey stated “Bill opened a path to giving back to the city in a unique way that allowed us to consider building up again. To make sure we’re not focused on this one moment of demolition but to follow through.”

Bill Pulte has been working for years to renovate cities by removing urban blight, a phenomenon which is shown to attract crime and lower morale.

Recently, Pulte started donating to worthy causes on Twitter with the help of his hashtag #TwitterPhilanthropy.

In just one example of his charitable works, Pulte delivered a $20,000 new car and $10,000 in cash to a female combat veteran and single mom, Lena Ramon.
